If you’ve never danced before, this is your class. build confidence, and make new friends—all in a welcoming environment guided by Héctor Reyes, one of the Bay Area’s top instructors. This class is for students new to bachata or anyone who wants an easy, fun way to unwind after the day. You will learn the basic step, rhythm, and simple partner movement . The focus is enjoying the music, moving your body, and feeling comfortable dancing with others. No stress. No pressure. Just good music, movement, and a great vibe. No partner needed. Frequently Asked Questions Do I need a partner? No. Most students come on their own, and we rotate partners throughout the class. Couples or friends who prefer to stay together are welcome to do so. What should I wear? Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely. What kind of shoes should I wear? Sneakers or dance shoes with smooth soles work best. Avoid shoes with thick, heavy rubber soles, as they make turning more difficult and place extra stress on your knees. I’ve never danced before. Is this class right for me? Yes. This series is designed specifically for complete beginners. What if I miss a class? We will share a video recap of the class so you can review what you missed. Important: Please make sure to read our cancellation policy before booking. Where do I park? Plenty of free parking is available behind the building. The studio also has a back-door entrance.
