Because September 7 is a holiday, we are adding a makeup class on September 20 at 10:30 a.m. This class is for students with no salsa experience or dancers who want a full reset. You will learn the core foundation of salsa from the ground up. Basic steps, rhythm, timing, posture, and simple partner connection. The focus is clarity, balance, and confidence, not speed or patterns. You will leave knowing how to step on time, understand the music, and move comfortably with a partner. This level sets the base for everything that comes next. all in a welcoming environment guided by Héctor Reyes, one of the Bay Area’s top instructors. From clean basics to stylish variations, we’ll help you feel amazing on the dance floor. No. Most students come on their own, and we rotate partners throughout the class. Couples or friends who prefer to stay together are welcome to do so. What should I wear? Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely. What kind of shoes should I wear? Sneakers or dance shoes with smooth soles work best. Avoid shoes with thick, heavy rubber soles, as they make turning more difficult and place extra stress on your knees. I’ve never danced before. Is this class right for me? Yes. This series is designed specifically for complete beginners. What if I miss a class? We will share a video recap of the class so you can review what you missed. Important: Please make sure to read our cancellation policy before booking. Where do I park? Plenty of free parking is available behind the building. The studio also has a back-door entrance.
